Love and Logic: Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun!® Workshops

"Parenting is not about kids, it's about parents."
- Hal Edward Runkel, author of ScreamFree Parenting

Are you ready for some new tools to add to your parenting toolbox?

Are you ever surprised at how frustrated you can get with the little people you love so much?  I knew I wasn't alone when a mom interested in some parent coaching wrote this to me:

"We were feeling pretty good about ourselves - dare I admit, even a little smug - but it seems the nippers in our house have gained the upper hand.  I start the day out donned in a referee uniform with a whistle (in order to mediate the endless slew of squabbles), and I typically finish the day hiding under the kitchen table while waving the white flag of surrender and calling my husband to beg him to come home and rescue me from his offspring."

If you can relate to this, perhaps it is time to sign up for a 5-week parenting class, or to attend a "Muffins & Moms" for a refresher!

Commit to creating a happier family with improved parenting skills, a few good laughs, and lots of good ideas.... sign up for a parenting workshop!

Love & Logic:
Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun!™

The "Love and Logic: Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun™" workshop provides practical tools and techniques that can change the way your family operates and make parenting more fun.  The early childhood class is geared specifically toward parents of young children, ages 0-8.

Kerry teaches the workshop in five 2-hour sessions (10 hours total instruction).  The content and examples are designed for parents of children from infancy through age 8, but the principles apply to children of all ages.  Attending the workshop always involves some laughs as well as some thought-provoking discussions.  Kerry's emphasis is on helping parents build healthy, nurturing relationships with their kids that will last a lifetime.

During the workshop, participants will:

  • See video clips of the founders of the Love & Logic® Institute telling stories (these always provide some laughs)
  • Listen to Kerry talk Love & Logic®
  • Do written exercises in the participant workbook
  • Ask questions about parenting issues
  • Problem solve with other parents
  • Have more fun than you think you should in a parenting workshop

The curriculum for the five sessions is as follows:

Week 1
"Handling Misbehavior Without Breaking A Sweat"
Learn techniques to end whining and arguing.

Week 2
"Teaching Kids To Listen... The FIRST Time"
Learn how to get kids to behave without lectures, threats, or bribes.

Week 3
"Avoiding Power Struggles"
Learn to share control by offering choices within your limits.

Week 4
"Limits Create Happier Parents, Happier Kids, And Happier Families"
Learn how to set loving limits by turning your words into gold.

Week 5
"What To Do When Your Kids Leave You Speechless"
Learn about delayed consequences and the energy drain.

When my kids become wild and unruly, I use a nice, safe playpen.  When they're finished, I climb out.
